Fall Internship Opportunity

Australian Education International and the Study in Australia Team are seeking two interns to work in their offices located at the Embassy of Australia in Washington, DC.

EDUCATION POLICY INTERNSHIP

AEI is currently seeking a policy intern from September to December. Full-time interns are paid $1000/month and part-time interns $500/month.

The intern will assist with researching, monitoring, and reporting on US and Canadian education policy; and assisting the policy manager with supplemental duties as requested.

The successful candidate will:

* Have completed at least two years of college (with a GPA of 3.2);

* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills;

* Have strong research and analytical skills;

* Have the ability to work independently and in a team;

* Have a personal interest in the fields of education policy and/or international relations.

Previous work or study experience in Australia is a plus.

EDUCATION MARKETING INTERNSHIP


The Study in Australia Education Team is currently seeking an intern from September to December 2010. Interns are hired for a period of three months, work 4-5 days a week and will receive a $1000 stipend.

The intern will assist with event management, student enquiries, website development, online social media, marketing, database/administrative tasks and research.

Desired Skills

The successful candidate will:

* have completed at least three years of college (with a GPA of 3.2)

* possess strong written and verbal communication skills

* be proficient with Microsoft Office

* have event management experience

* have the ability to work independently and in a team

* have the ability to show initiative

*have experience updating websites and comfortable using online social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WordPress)

* have a personal interest in the fields of education marketing, international education, public relations and /or marketing

* have previous work or study experience in Australia.
