London Bridge is...Falling Down?

I told you!
Tower Bridge
Okay confession time...the London Bridge didn't actually fall down...BUT I did walk across it!

This past weekend, I took a few days (about 4) and decided to hop on a plane to London and spend Easter weekend in London and Easter itself in Paris.

Travel is so cheap in Europe, and for that, I will be eternally grateful!  London itself is not so 'tacaƱo' due to the fact that the British pound is so much higher than the dollar; however, I was still able to have a blast!

Rosetta Stone!
The actual bridge is underwhelming
I saw (almost) all major attractions from the outside.  I only had so much money, and things were anywhere between 17 pounds and 45 pounds to go into (that included STUDENT DISCOUNTS)  RIDICULOUS!  Needless to say, I was able to see everything I wanted to see!  Just from the outside...

I also went to four museums while in London.  MUSEUMS ARE FREE!  THANK GOODNESS!  I went to the British Museum, the Imperial War Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Victoria Albert Museum.  I'm such a nerd and spent upwards of four hours in every museum.  YOU GUYS...I SAW THE ROSETTA STONE...LIKE...IN REAL LIFE!

Fish and chips!
HIGHLIGHT OF MY TRIP: I SAW AND WENT THROUGH PLATFORM 9 3/4 AT KING'S CROSS STATION!  EEK!  I also have pictures to prove it!  I got to be a wizard for about 10 minutes, and it was a glorious ten minutes indeed!

Food...umm...again...stuff is expensive in London.  I was there for about three days, and I think I only had three real meals while there?  Maybe...BUT I DID EAT FISH AND CHIPS...even though it was in an Arab restaurant...IN MY DEFENSE, it was the only place that was open for food at 11pm.

Another great thing that happened on the trip...THE WEATHER WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!  There was sunshine all day one day!  And it only rained once!  WOO!  Got super lucky there...

Big Ben and London Eye
Shakespeare's Globe
I'm pretty sure I walked over 10 miles each day.  That covers all the museum walking (which by the way, ARE FREAKING HUGE) and the aimless wandering about the city.  We only took the Tube/Underground/Metro once because again...IT'S SO EXPENSIVE!  A way one ticket was almost 5 pounds...like WHAT?  That's basically $10!

After a joyous stay in London, I traveled to Paris for Easter Sunday and attended mass in the Notre Dame.  SUPER AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL.  After mass, I ate an amazing sandwich of goat cheese and nuts, saw the Eiffel Tower, and hopped on my plane back to Morocco.

It was an incredible weekend!  I don't regret it at all!  I have decided that I probably need to move to Europe for a time to attend school or something.
