Exchange Student Withdrawal Process

Withdrawal Procedure

If you are graduating, your exchange period is ending this Fall, or you plan to transfer to another institution, please follow the procedures below and be sure to complete by December 10.

Tasks

 

Complete the international student Evaluation Form

 

Complete the Maryville College Withdrawal Out Processing Form

 ✓

Complete a Transcript Request Form (Fill out the form in Kirsten's office for ISEP, World Learning, or other Exchange programs)

TRANSFERRING to another school?: Complete the Center for Global Engagement Transfer Out Form

 Complete Housing Break Agreement for December 11 to December 12th

 

There are up to 2 $100 deposits you will receive when the above process is completed.
  • The $100 general deposit will be returned to you if you do not have any money owing to MC or if you do not have library fines, etc.
  • The $100 housing deposit will be returned to you as long as you live on campus and there is no damage to your room, or if you were not assessed any fines during the year. 
You can choose to have the money returned to your credit /debit card [this is best] or you can request a check.  You will likely not receive your check or credit card refund before you leave. One will be sent to you in your home country so be sure to put the correct address on the form.  Sponsored Students (IREX, World Learning, Study USA) - any deposits are returned to your sponsor.
 

Moving Out


Complete break agreement form if you plan to leave after halls close on December 11th.  Note that the expectation is that you will move out on December 12, 2024.

If you have a flight that leaves later than December 12th, you need to fill out an extension form in your housing portal and be sure to speak with your RA about your plans.  Please notewhile the Residence Life Office is happy to help out, it is unlikely you will be able to stay later than Saturday or Sunday, and the answer may be different from hall to hall, floor to floor based on how quickly we need to turn over that room and staffing considerations.
 

Extra Items?


We can only take items that do not need to be washed.  We cannot accept furniture. Any items that you want to leave for future students must be in 1 box that can be closed.
