Exchanging Culture Through Food!

Food is one of my favorite things. I love to read recipes, shop at the farmers market, cook and eat, especially international foods! Maryville College is a great place to work or study because of our many international potlucks. When everybody brings a dish from their country to share, we share good food and good company from around the world!

ESL teachers and students take a lunch break outside of the International House. We have fabulous cooks!

International and American students, faculty, staff and their families recently gathered for a potluck at Dr. Siopsis' home. She makes the best Greek food! I might move in...

Yaroslav prepares a Ukranian dish in the kitchen while some other international students play basketball in the driveway with the American kids.

I was having so much fun chatting with people and eating that I forgot to take a picture of the dinner spread! All the foods looked and tasted delicious. We enjoyed foods from Saudi Arabia, Japan, China, Myanmar, Ukraine, Greece, The United States and more!!

Saki and Chiaki are champion dish washers!

We hope you will join us for the next international meal!
