**Read in British accent please :) **Wednesday night is the big night to go out in Worcester, partly because it's student's night. So this was, of course, the first night that I went out. The International Committee had told us (all of the new international students) that they were planning to go to a pub called The Postal Order which is across the river in the city center. Practically my entire building (which is all international students) decided to walk over together. However, most of the group went over to meet other people before going to the pub, but Tamara and I decided to just head straight there. There were only about two tables pushed together when we got there, and within an hour, the table had grown into about 10 or 12 tables pushed together! Everyone had shown up! We spent most of the night just getting to know the other internationals, as well as some of the English students. Andrea, a student from Brazil, was taking loads of silly pictures that resulted in this...
I'm not sure if it was because of the two pints of cider or because everyone is really nice, but I would say that everyone had a great time!
The next night started out about the same... everyone relaxed and ate their supper. Tamara and I had a great time cooking in our kitchen and talking about German things and American things! After that, Tamara and I decided to take some candy down to the flat below us and see what they were up to. As it turns out, they were all sitting in their kitchen chatting it up, and invited us in! After that, more internationals came, and it turned into a nice little party! Let's just say, that my cheeks hurt from laughing for most of the night :)
I am so excited to be at Worcester, and I have already made such great friends! I can't wait to see what the semester has in store!
