On this day, we arrived to the airport by 7:45 a.m. We met Dr. Schratter and Dr. Schmied in the entrance before check-in. When I arrived at 7:40 a.m., over half of the Switzerland crew was there. I had my luggage, school bag, passport holder that has RFID technology to prevent fraud. I got it as a graduation gift and it has proven to be very convenient. It has space for my passport, phone, money, cart, etc. while keeping it all organized. Since I don't fly often, I didn't have a luggage weigher on hand. Thankfully, Dr. Schmied was prepared and brought one. The weight limit is 50 pounds. Considering I have experience traveling within the country via my car, I didn't necessarily think about how heavy my stuff was. After packing for Switzerland via the packing list, I was concerned it was going to be too heavy. Thankfully, my bag was only 30 pounds. We went on 3 flights on this day: 1 from McGee Tyson Airport to Washington. This flight lasted about an hour. The second flight was from Washington to New Jersey. It also lasted about an hour. Then, we flew from New Jersey to Switzerland. This flight took a little over 8 hours. It was a bumpy, turbulent ride. When we finally arrived to Geneva, I was so relieved and tired. I just wanted to sleep.
