We landed the plane in Geneva, Switzerland around 7:45 a.m. This makes traveling time around 24 hours. Considering the plane was very bumpy, there was minimal sleep that was to be had. After we landed, we got in the bus with our guide and proceeded to the hotel. Because it was so early, our rooms were not available. So, the Switz Boo Crew went to town and explored. We saw Lake Geneva, Jet d'Eau, Old Town of Geneva, Geneva Flower Clock (dirt), St. Peters Cathedral, Ancien Arsenal, Reformation Wall, and Bastions Park.
Lake Geneva: Jet d'Eau is a huge water jet that splashes water 460 feet into the air. You can see it from a distance almost anywhere on the lake, but once you get up close to it - it truly is magnificent.

Old Town: The Switz Boo Crew went strolling down the cobbled streets admiring the different smells and shops. There were many beautiful architectural details that we got lost in. From the archways, to the fire hydrants all the way to the way that the cobbled ground was laid was beautiful.
Geneva Flower Clock: Unfortunately, the flower clock was in the process of getting developed so we only saw the dirt skeleton. The flowers in the clock are changed several times a year so the clock is nice to see every season. The Geneva Flower Clock is located in the Jardin Anglais. It is one of the prettiest public parks in Geneva, according to one of the bystanders that struck up a conversation.

St. Peter's Cathedral: This is a cathedral that was built in the early 12-13 century. Standing outside, it was a huge detailed building. But, once you got inside - it was like this wave of calm and peace just ran through me. I wanted to be quiet and just sit and breath. It was truly an amazing experience.
Old Arsenal/Ancien Arsenal: This is a small museum that is tucked right behind the St. Peter's Cathedral. It is a display of cannons under the arches depicting Geneva's history on the surrounding walls.
Reformation Wall: It is a huge wall with the figures of Geneva's most famous reformers sculpted into it. It is a reminder of the reformation period that had a huge influence eon Geneva and Switzerland as a whole in the 1500s.
Bastions Park: This is where the reformation wall was located. Something unique about this park is that there are chess boards and pieces that are life size. Unfortunately, I was so tired and ready to eat that I forgot to take pictures of the chess game.
