Geneva

Geneva has proven to be beautiful thus far. Not only are the mountains beautiful, but all of the sights and architecture is beautiful as well. Geneva’s food has been one of my most favorite parts so far. It has inspired me to go out of my comfort zone and try new things that I would not have tried otherwise. The first full day in Geneva, I tried a shrimp pasta from a cafe called Chez Ana, a different looking salad with a vegetable on top which I could not identify, a native fish only found in Switzerland called perch, and fritz. We also had chocolate cake, but I would’ve eaten chocolate cake no matter what the circumstances were. I absolutely loved all of it. It was some of the best food that I have ever had. The 2nd full day, I ate a pizza made by an Italian chef who made the crust and sauce by scratch. It was super good, and I couldn’t have been happier with my meal. Today, we ate crepes for brunch. I had a chocolate cake which was to die for, and I also ate some of an apple cinnamon crepe which was pretty good. For dinner, we ate at a cute pub next to the hotel. While the rest of my friends got fondue. I tried a bite and it was really good. I ordered fish and chips, which was 6-8 pieces of fried perch, homemade fries, and a little salad. It was incredible. The fish was so fresh, and the fries were so good. I also got a hot chocolate cake with homemade vanilla ice cream, which I could’ve eaten 2 of. The chocolate is so rich and creamy, it just melts in your mouth. There is truly nothing like it. Overall, I have been extremely surprised and happy with how outgoing I have been concerning my food choices. I am typically a picky eater, but I have gone above my typical food choices and have tried new things. I am certainly glad I have because the food here is truly heaven on earth.
