Delay

I never want to fly with American or through Philidelphia again.

My day started off by getting to the airport two hours early for my flight back to the states. My passport was checked a grand total of seven times getting my bags checked, getting through passport control, getting through security, and boarding the plane. It took me about an hour and a half to get through security. We were delayed about thirty minutes leaving from Berlin waiting for people to get through security or get on the bus to get to the actual plane.

The flight was long, but about as boring as a trans-atlantic flight can get. We landed in Philidelphia at about 2 local time and then I had to get through customs. I had a four hour layover, so I wasn't too worried about rushing.

When it finally came time to go to my gate, I go to stand with everyone to wait to board. We continue to stand there for forty-five minutes with little to no information on what's happening. We board the plane only to find it hot and stuffy. They turn the air on full blast and it gets better, but we soon find out that the airplane has another problem: the door won't shut.

We are de-planed and shooed back out into the boarding area with no information about what is happening or when we are leaving, if we are leaving at all tonight.

I just got information that we are boarding the same plane because somehow maintenance has fixed the issue. After waiting for close to four hours, I think I'm finally getting to go to Tampa.
