Impromptu Visit to Bath

After visiting Cardiff last Saturday, I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to do with the four days I had before leaving for Edinburgh. Itching to fill my time with something other than facebook and napping, I decided to meet up with a friend who was currently staying just outside of Bath. After a long, very delayed, train journey, I met up with Murray who drove me straight from the train station to Stonehenge. Now the idea was that we would make the short journey out to Stonehenge and see the famous landmark up close and personal, but it didn’t exactly turn out that way. After paying £3.00 to park, we soon figured out that in order to get any closer to Stonehenge then the road, we were going to have to pay £8.00 just to go look at the thing... Murray was not entirely happy with this, and I wasn’t about to pay £8.00 when I could just walk up to the fence, zoom in with my camera and take a picture.

After spending a whole 20 minutes at Stonehenge, we made our way back to Bath to have a look around. We stopped at Mission Burrito and had one of the best burritos I’ve ever eaten, which then gave me a massive food baby... so worth it.
Bath is a BEAUTIFUL city! We honestly didn’t do any touristy things because I had promised Mom we would go to Bath when she comes to visit. Nevertheless, it was a very lovely city! I wouldn’t mind going back again :) It was a short trip, but totally worth it!
