One can only believe I have been in Italy for 7 weeks. To be honest with you I really don’t know
whether to be happy or sad about. I have
enjoyed most of my time here and I made it through some difficult issues. I have come to realize that things aren’t
always like you dreamed they would be. I
have met some interesting people here and some that I hope that we could remain
friends in the future, others that I wish I never met. Though I haven’t been many places YET. I feel
like I have seen a lot. I hope to start
traveling considering spring break (“Easter Break”) is coming up in a little
over a week. Which I need to buy my tickets and reserve rooms for my Italian
Tour. Rome – Florence – Venice – Verona – Milan. I’m ready and looking forward to Easter in
Rome and at the Vatican. Hopefully I
will have more pictures to post then and after I run some errands this week to
finish some tasks that I need down before spring break. Fingers-crossed for me. School is going and crazy to believe that my
first midterm is on Thursday. Save/Help Me! Plus it really doesn’t help that
one of my professors writes like a five year-old on the board and no one can
understand it. Though he thinks everyone
understands it. Lord I’m a Int. business
major with minors in economics and political science and I understand that this
guy has no clue that he is mixing up formulas and letters that aren’t use in
the formulas. Seriously it’s horrible.
been Skyping my dog. Yes I Skype my dog. I miss him so much and can’t wait until I can hug him. Not to mention to hug my friends which will be a while since they will be home for the summer by the time I get back stateside. Which is really depressing. I miss all of my friends and the closeness of the MC community. I hope all my friends had a great spring break! Miss y’all so much! Go Scots! Love Y’all!
Other than my pending stress that is
already starting, I have come to realize that living in a different country for
a while helps you grow and learn about yourself. I have learned that leaving behind the loving
countryside and mountains of Tennessee for the crazy city of Milan leads me to
see that for what it is worth I will always be a country girl, but with the
dreams of a city girl. I believe the
saying is “You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the
country out of the girl,” which defines my life at present. For now it’s another lazy I enjoy these
weekends here. Having a lazy weekend
back in the states seems impossible sometimes. Especially during the school
year and working. The best part of my
week has
weekend for me
mostly because of upcoming midterms and the fact that it rained last night and
is still gloomy outside.been Skyping my dog. Yes I Skype my dog. I miss him so much and can’t wait until I can hug him.
