Dara's Adventures in the UK: 30 DAYS

30 days to go and my mom started off the countdown with a bang. Yesterday I got 5 different letters from my family and a package from my mom and today I got another letter from my grandmother and another package from my mom. The package contained tea bags to make iced tea, candy, brownies, and two of my favorite magazines. Since Thanksgiving is in two days it is good to know that my family hasn’t forgotten about me. The letters and packages literally made my week one million times better!
So since my family has been so generous sending me letters and packages it is appropriate to start off the things I miss about America with saying I miss my family more than I ever thought I would. I miss having my mom and dad cook for me. I miss bickering with my brother and then laughing over how ridiculous we are being. I truly miss just being able to drive home and see them whenever I want. I miss my grandparents also. They truly have been extremely supportive of me being over here and I get a letter from at least one of my grandmothers ever week. I will also be happy when I get home because I am very thankful all of them have stayed healthy why I have been away. I have been terrified that one of them would get really sick while I am away. One of my best friends here, Lauren, has lost a grandmother and an aunt while she has been over here. I truly don’t know how she has coped with that at all. I am very thankful that my family has been supportive of me throughout this journey and I cannot wait to see all of their smiling faces again when I get home. I have missed them dearly.
I will also miss a lot of things about being in England. Most of all I will miss all the traveling I have gotten to do while I have been here. Every city I have been to has been different and unique in its own away. I still have a little of traveling left to do. I am going to Oxford this weekend, then to Gloucester next week. Then I will be going to Wales for my last 4 days in England to stay with my cousin. Its so easy to travel in England. You can get almost anywhere you want to be in under 4 hours. You can even be in amost 6 different countries in that short amount of time. I really will miss the easy, and stress free travel when I am back in the USA.
