Happy Thanksgiving!! I thought today was going to be the worst Thanksgivings ever because I am not with my family. It has turned out to be one of the best. I got to share thanksgiving with 12 of my friends from Worcester: 2 Germans, 3 American, 3 Australian, 2 Dutch, and 1 Swedish. Most of them didn’t even know what thanksgiving was and it was awesome to teach them about it and fellowship with them. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, glazed carrots, stuffing, rolls, and cranberry jelly. We also had chocolate cake, cookies, apple pie and ice cream for dessert. Did you know that about 280 million turkeys are bought every year for Thanksgiving? That is incredible!
Well there is only 27 days until I go home. I will truly miss all of the friends that I have made her at Worcester. They have become like family to me even though we still have some language barriers. There is always someone to talk to or to ask questions, and there is always someone you can borrow something from if you run out.
I really have missed my car while I have been away though. And I don’t want to sound lazy but sometimes it is very useful to have a car. I really miss being about to go somewhere whenever I want to and not having to wait on a bus or a train. Food shopping is also very hard without a car. I have sometimes went to the store and bought entirely too much food and then I have to carry it all the way back to my dorm. It really stinks and it is really hard sometimes.
Well I know this is short, but the turkey has made me very sleepy. But I am very thankful to have been given this opportunity by my school, my family, and God and I will never forget it. This experience has truly changed my life for the better. God Bless!
